Along with other charities, SAM Chernobyl Relief seeks to get alongside the people of Belarus to encourage and help in any ways we can to make life a bit more bearable for the people we meet. SAM is a Christian Charity seeking to show the love of God in word and action. Our motto is "Encourage one another and build each other up". (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

KIDS ALOFT 2010

The plan this year had been to transport disabled children from Belarus to a camp in the south west of Poland with super facilities. However a lot of factors mitigated against this, not least the difficulties with visas from Belarus to Poland following the Shengen policies.

Instead we are funding the children to go to a camp in the summer within Belarus. The children had not been told where they were going so there is no disappointment on their part. It will also be a lot more cost effective in view of the recent economic time in the UK.
